I still to this day play Sega Master System games, Atari games and many computer games all of which I can play with zero internet connection, all of which I will be able to play regardless of the Developer's decisions.

From that point up until around 12 or 15 years ago, any game that you bought, you could play them at any time, anywhere, even when the game was no longer being produced. I am one of those people who has been gaming since the Atari 2600 days. I and anyone like me seem to be a dying breed in the gaming industry. It's a bit of a personal view that is most likely not shared by many.

What have the Devs said concerning topics such as this.if anything? Now, with Diablo 3, I cannot do that without having an online connection. I got my enjoyment from playing by myself, free of other people. Yes, I understand it has a coop gameplay as well.but let's face it, I Diablo to play with other players. Has there been ANY talk at all from the Developers of releasing single player to offline mode and not requiring an internet connection or can I just hang that up and stop hoping? Until then, I just can't give my money to a company who is this selfish to try and force a single player game to be online in order to operate. It's truly sad, as badly as I would love to continue the Saga of the Diablo franchise, I just refuse to accept the terms of having to be online to play a single player game. I don't see that happening though because IMO people today are a lot more complacent than people once were of the older gamer generations. The only way we will ever get our single player games back to being in offline mode is if people stop clicking that agree button. Well, I will not be clicking that agree button and I am having a hard time understanding why so many people have. I have seen countless players on forums of all kinds of different sites complain of this, and they are always met with players who say, "You clicked the agree button." Sadly, with Diablo 3, if they ever decide to pull the plug, I will never be able to play Diablo 3 ever again. So because of this, I can enjoy these games anytime I wish to. Diablo 1 and 2 did not require me to get online. I can't be the only person who refuses to buy this game because even in single player mode it requires an online connection.
